General Description of the Position

Under the supervision of the Logistics Officer, the position holder will primarily provide transport to SIF employee under BMZ project, and movement of SIF assets in accordance with SIF Policy, Somalia road regulations or other requirements as directed by the supervisor.

Job Description

The main duties and responsibilities of the position include but not limited to:

·         Drive SIF staff for official purposes;

·         Collect and deliver mail, pouch, documents and other items;

·         Keep records of use of the vehicle, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, and dispatch;

·         Maintain the vehicle in clean condition;

·         Perform daily maintenance checks of the vehicle such oil, water, battery, brakes, etcetera;

·         Abide by the Somali Highway and Traffic Code;

·         Ensure security of the vehicle by keeping it locked, and defensive driving;

·         Provide logistical support with project workshops, seminar or training when required;

·         Assist in miscellaneous office support functions such as photocopying, etcetera.
