Location: Hargeisa with frequent travel to Sool & Sanaag

Reports To: Logistics,Admin & HR Manager

Length of Contract: 1 year (Renewable based on performance)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Drive the vehicles assigned within the laws of Somaliland and WCDO policies and procedures

 Transport project staff to required destinations as directed by the field coordinator

 Ensure daily cleaning /minor checks on the vehicle before any travels

 Assist with loading and offloading of items transported in the car

 Report all accidents however trivial to the supervisor

 Report to the supervisor any vehicle repair needs and ensure that repairs are appropriately done

 Conduct errands as required by the project supervisor

 Ensure delivery of project inputs / messages and ensure all documents are observed by recipient including signing of goods delivery / received notes/ acknowledging note

 Provide mechanical service to the vehicle assigned to you and any other World Concern vehicles as may be instructed

 Exhibit good stewardship of all other resources that may be at your care

 Maintain a vehicle log book for all trips, recording the mileage, fuel, departmental use, repairs etc

 Seek authorization from supervisor before making any driving engagement

 Ensure the vehicle is always parked properly during day time, at night observing all the necessary precautions •

 Drive World Concern vehicles as per the given schedule by the Logistics Assistant;

 Always carry out basic security checks on the vehicles before start driving and at the end of the day. (Battery water, fuel & oil levels, radiator water, Tyre pressure/condition, etc.);

 Ensure the vehicle meets the maintenance schedule and should inform the Logistics Assistant of any faults as and they occur;

 Report immediately any damage or accident to the immediate supervisor/Head of Office / Logistics Assistant following correct procedures in the case of the accident, incident or complaints;

 Regularly review the job functions with the supervisor

 Complete any other activities that fall in area of your operation

SECURITY AND COMMUNICATION

Responsible for the care of the tools and equipment of the vehicle allocated for official use

 Ensure the safety of the items being transported in the vehicle

 Ensure the safety of the equipment and communication gadgets and are in sound mechanical condition and working properly

 Monitor the passengers in vehicle and enforce the safe belt rule

 Ensure that there is no unauthorized passengers in the vehicle

 Observe World Concern transport policy and procedure for example speed limit, number of passengers, waiver for non World Concern staff, seat belts etc  Report any major or minor accident immediately responsible for transportation to establish the record.

 Perform any other task related to the position requested by the supervisor.
