The HALO Trust Ethiopia Programme is looking for a full-time talented professional driver that will support the humanitarian demining programme in Ethiopia.

Responsibilities

• The driver must always drive with care: he is responsible for the security of the passengers.
• The driver is responsible for the correct loading of the transported goods.
• The driver undertakes daily and weekly services and first parade checks on the vehicle. He is responsible maintaining the vehicle and ensuring that it kept clean and tidy.
• The driver must inform the radio room of departure and arrival times.
• The driver updates the Log Sheet daily.
• In case of anomalies, the Workshop Supervisor should be informed and the defect noted in the Fault Report Sheet
• The driver must ensure that the toolbox, jack, wheel brace, extra wheel, shovel & towing belt are in the vehicle and that they are in a serviceable condition.
• The driver must wash and clean his car every week.
• The driver must inform the Radio Operator and his Supervisor immediately in case of a road traffic accident or breakdown.
• The driver has no right to use the car for private needs or for the transport of people not involved in the programme without the approval of the Programme Manager.
• He undertakes any other duties requested by the senior management staff.
