eDahab Director – Puntland

eDahab is the fintech arm of Dahabshiil Group (“eDahab” or the “Company”) whose mission is to facilitate digital financial transactions through multiple platforms is the fintech hub of the group and is critical in the financial services. The company has an immediate opening for a director for eDahab for Puntland to be based in its Head Office in Garowe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Carry out the management of the business and affairs of the Company with the goal of achieving the Company’s principal objective(s) as defined by the Board.

Develop high quality business strategies and plans that ensure the desired results are produced and are consistent with the overall Group strategy and mission of eDahab.

Provide the technical leadership to accomplish business lines and objectives of eDahab.

Takes full ownership of new product initiatives, including pre-launch, launch as well as meeting and exceeding revenue and customer targets.

Enhance digital payment services and development through partnerships, alliances and collaboration with global payments systems and brands in the digital space such as Talkremit, M-Pesa, Paypal, online shopping Amazon, Alibababa etc.

Ensure that the financial performance of the Company is properly reported to shareholders, other security holders and regulators on a timely and regular basis.

Monitor project revenues, operating expenses, capital replacements, capital needs and reserve accounts. Take all necessary actions to gain reasonable assurance that all financial information received made is accurate and complete and represents fairly the Company’s financial position and performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

MSc/MBA in business administration or relevant field will be an added advantage.

Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration or any other relevant field.

Proven ability to lead complex, strategic cross-organization projects including defining solutions, setting and meeting timelines, and leading teams through change.

Ability to build cross-functional cooperation and strong working relationships between business functions.

Experience in a building a digital sales system and defining an opportunity; including understating of all aspects like legal, compliance and customer lifecycle management and cost control to make this business successful.

Previous experience within the payment/retail financial services sector in a digital environment would be highly advantageous relevant experience in sales

or marketing in a financial services  company of not less than 5 years.

Proven experience as Director or in a senior managerial position in a similar fintech sector.

Strong analytical skills and able to assess risk and have the ability to judge outcomes and make an impact at the highest level of the organization

Have a hands-on attitude and approach.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the flexibility to work across the organization.

The candidate must be a person of high integrity, moral character and respectful

A focused person with exposure to international environment
