Finance Officer – Mogadishu, Somalia

Job Description

WARDI has a zero-tolerance towards sexual harassment, exploitation, and abuse as stipulated in the PSEA policy.

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Finance Director, Finance Officer will responsible for efficient and effective financial management.

Main responsibilities towards this project includes but not limited to:

will be responsible for the preparation of financial documents
Develop financial policies to ensure operational efficiency.
make payments, recording of daily transactions
Maintaining of Cash Books and Bank statements.
prepare all the financial reports of the project and will keep in record
Ensure all expenses are within assigned project budget.
Oversee the preparation of all financial statements, invoices, as required.
Ensure data integrity in all financial reporting.
Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues
Implement concern’s finance policies and procedures -as per manual.

Skills and Qualifications

University degree in Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Economics, Business administration or equivalent in relevant field).
Three years of working experience in Finance Area
Substantial knowledge of standard finance procedures and practices required.
Ability to extract, interpret, analyze data and resolve problems.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
Competency in computer skills including MS Office.
Fluency in English and Somali
