Summary: 

The Fleet Storeman is responsible for all fleet stores and for all items held there. He is responsible for supervising the correct receipt, storage, allocation, maintenance and record of all equipment and materials in order to ensure smooth running of all operational activities. He/she ensures the correct implementation of the HALO logistics SOPs.

Key responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for all fleet stores and all items held there
• Keep storerooms clean, organised and secure
• Issue, receive and inspect all spare parts which are required for maintaining vehicles and ensure relevant documentations is filed
• Record all stock movements and ensure appropriate documentation is prepared
• Maintain stock cards accurate and ensure that quantities are matching the database and the actual stock
• Monitor stock consumption and anticipate procurement needs
• Forward supply requests to the Logistics Officer
• The storekeeper should be maintaining of collecting any infected spare parts before spares withdrawals from the store.
• Maintain good records of written-off parts
• Conduct regular store checks to ensure that stock cards and database match each other
• Ensure that all supply-in, supply-out and transfer sheets are correctly authorised
• Check all requests from the field locations and Burao office. Ensure they are processed correctly and only the necessary quantities are issued
• Maintain the minimum stock levels and ensure that supply requests are processed
• Report any conscious damaging or misuse of HALO equipment
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Undertake any other duties that may be requested by the Management
