FSL Community Mobilizers/Field Assistants act as the primary link between humanitarian organizations and affected populations, focusing on implementing food security and livelihood programs. Key duties include identifying and registering beneficiaries, conducting community sensitization, supporting input, facilitating training sessions, and performing monitoring, evaluation, and feedback collection to ensure effective aid delivery.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Community Engagement & Mobilization: Sensitize local authorities and community leaders on project goals, criteria, and timelines. Facilitate community meetings and build relationships with beneficiaries to promote participation.
  • Beneficiary Management: Identify, verify, and register eligible households based on vulnerability criteria e.g., Famers, female-headed households, PWDs.
  • Distribution Support: Facilitate the distribution of food items, or agricultural inputs (seeds/tools) Mechanized land preparation, planning, scheduling, field verification, Small livestock distribution / restocking Community sensitization and basic agricultural guidance to targeted beneficiaries.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct post-distribution monitoring (PDM), focus group discussions, and field-level data collection. Submit regular reports (daily/weekly) on activities to the FSL Officer/Manager.
  • Feedback & Accountability: Act as the focal point for community feedback mechanisms, addressing complaints and ensuring accountability to affected populations.
  • Capacity Building: Support training sessions for beneficiaries on topics related.
  • Educational Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: High school/Diploma or equivalent development studies, agriculture, or a related field.
  • Experience
  • Field Experience: Previous experience working in community mobilization, social work, or in a related field is often preferred.
  • Community Engagement: Demonstrated experience engaging with communities, particularly in rural or underserved areas. 

Language

  • Understand in English language
