Organization background

Wadajir Rural Development Organization (WARDO), WARDO is a civil society organization established in 2005 by group of Somali humanitarian and development workers who were dedicated and committed to social developments through education and youth development, agriculture and livelihoods, protection, emergency response and water and sanitation programs. WADAJIR Rural Development Organization (WARDO) is a registered and operational Non-Governmental Organization in South and Central Somalia, WARDO was registered in 2005 by the Federal Government of Somalia. The organization has its main office in Mogadishu and Baidoa, with regional offices in the other 4 FMS of South and Central Somalia (Jubaland, Galmudug, Southwest, and Hir-Shabelle).

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced FSL MEAL Officer to enhance our programs in Jowhar. This role focuses on ensuring effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) practices within our Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring: Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring frameworks and tools specific to FSL projects. Regularly collect and analyze data to evaluate project performance.
  • Evaluation: Design and conduct evaluations to measure impact and effectiveness of FSL interventions. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality assessments.
  • Accountability: Establish and maintain mechanisms for beneficiary feedback and complaints, ensuring that project actions address community needs.
  • Learning: Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and document best practices and lessons learned to improve future FSL programming.
  • Reporting: Prepare analytical reports for internal use and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in MEAL, specifically in Food Security and Livelihoods programming.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Somali
  • Understanding of donor regulations and reporting standards.

Language

  • Fluent in English language and Writing
