Daryeel Deegaan Company LTD (DDC) is a private company formed under the Companies Act of Somalia in January 2015. DDC is a waste management services provider headquartered in Garowe. The company has a license from the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Climate, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Puntland State of Somalia in working the collection, processing, and disposal operations for solid, liquid, and medical wastes. DDC strives to develop an integrated system of solid, liquid, and medical waste management to ensure efficient collection, transportation, recovery, treatment, and disposal of the waste generated in growing Puntland main cities. DDC envisions transforming Puntland main towns as one of the cleanest cities in the country by providing customized solutions in consultation with citizens and private partners to ensure a sustainable, safe, clean, and green environment.

Merit Advisory is a consulting firm that provides Audit, Accounting, Taxation, IT, and consulting services and advice to public, private, and non-profit organizations. It is headquarted in Garowe and has offices in Mogadishu and Hargeisa.
Merit Advisory has been working with Daryeel Deegaan Company LTD (DDC) in digital transformation (ERP Development) and business consulting.
Merit Advisory currently recruiting a General Manager for Daryeel Deegaan Company LTD (DDC).
General Manager of Daryeel Deegaan Company LTD (DDC)
Responsibilities
- Take a lead in the general management of the organization
- Coordinate business activities and working closely with the Board of Directors (BoD).
- Implement Strategic Plan of the Company by developing yearly work plans congruently with the approved plan.
- Design, operationalize, and coordinate internal controls policy and procedures and develop new procedures when needed.
- Ensure competent staff are hired in key positions of the company.
- Warrant that all staff have required skillset and propose training needs of the staff
- Approve all payments made from organizations’ bank accounts.
- Coordinate local and international correspondence of the company.
Skills and Qualifications
Selection shall be based on qualification and experience of the candidate and followed by an interview. The minimum qualification, experience and skills should include:
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, public administration, Corporate Management, accounting, & project management or any related field.
- Master Degree is in Business Administration, public administration, Corporate Management, accounting, & project management is an added advantage.
- Must have 5 years relevant experience, at least 3 years in senior management position
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent in written and oral English
Duration
The duration for the assignment is initially for One Year period with an extension based on satisfactory work performance.
