COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course teaches the fundamental concepts and basic functions of a GIS, the properties of GIS maps, and the structure of a GIS database. The course intends to deal with ArcGIS Desktop tools to visualize geographic data, create maps, query a GIS database, and analyze data using common analysis tools. This training consists of both theory and practical. By the end of this training, we are expected to develop conceptual clarity and practical knowledge using ArcGIS and map generating techniques with GIS tool. 

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

Provide clear information GIS principles, data types, techniques and mapping approach Acquire practical knowledge on use of mapping software and produce maps using input data

Participants include Foresters, Data analyzers, Researchers, Environmentalists, Urban planners, Surveyors, Geo-informaticians, Cartographers, Geologist, Planners, Resource managers and Other people need to improve their skills in this field.
