Invitation to Tender for the Supply and Distribution of Agricultural Inputs in Jowhar and Beledweyne.

1. Introduction:

Sariiraale Farmers’ Cooperative Society, a prominent and leading farmer cooperative operating in the Hirshabelle state, is currently implementing a comprehensive four-year development project funded by the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) and supervised by WFP as third entity. This project is strategically designed to strengthen market-oriented agricultural production systems while promoting sustainable farming practices among member cooperatives.

The objective of the project is to enhance agricultural productivity through improved access to quality inputs, modern farming techniques, and capacity-building interventions. In parallel, the project seeks to facilitate stronger market linkages, enabling cooperative members to effectively participate in competitive value chains. By addressing both production and market constraints, the initiative aims to significantly increase income levels, improve livelihoods, and build the economic resilience of cooperatives across Hirshabelle.

To achieve the above-stated objective, Sariiraale Farmers’ Cooperative Society is inviting qualified and reputable companies to submit competitive bids for the procurement and distribution of agricultural inputs, specifically certified seeds and pesticides.

The assignment will involve the timely supply and efficient delivery of these inputs to a total of 23 beneficiary cooperatives located across Jowhar and Beledweyne. Interested bidders are expected to demonstrate proven experience in the supply of agricultural inputs, strong logistical capacity to ensure reliable distribution, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards.

2. Required Application Documents:

Interested bidders are requested to submit the following documents as part of their tender application:

I. Company Profile

A detailed profile outlining the company’s background, organizational structure, core business activities, and relevant experience.

II. Tax Compliance Certificate

A valid and up-to-date tax compliance certificate issued by the Hirshabelle Ministry of Finance.

III. Registration Certificate

An official registration certificate issued by the State Ministry of Agriculture, confirming the company’s authorization to operate in the agricultural sector.

IV. Record of Past Performance

Documented evidence of successfully completed similar contracts involving the supply and distribution of agricultural inputs (specifically seeds and pesticides) over the past 2–3 years.

V. Financial Proposal (Price Quotation)

A duly completed and signed quotation clearly indicating competitive pricing for the required quantity input seeds and pesticides together with the delivery and distribution costs.
