It has been implementing development projects in Somaliland since 2001. Multi-sectoral projects have been carried out in the Awdal, Marodijeh, Togdheer & Sanaag Regions for the past 20 years.
Description of the of the project and the bid
WHH-Somaliland is going to provide safe drinking water to Rooble Cali, Dhoobawayn and Cawale-adan villages in Odwayne district, Togdheer region through water trucking to guarantee Minimum basic survival water needs for drinking, food and Hygiene practices. The Activity will be implemented by water Tankers by taking a safe drinking water from the nearest water sources. All the legible water trucking companies and individuals are invited to apply.
The key activities to be carried out
- Supplying 166050 Liters (166.05M3) equivalent to 19 loads of clean safe drinking water to Rooble Cali.
- Supplying 506250Litres (506.25M3) equivalent to 56 loads of clean safe drinking water to Dhoobo Weyne.
- Supplying 405000Litres (405 M3) equivalent to 45 loads of clean safe drinking water to Cawale Adam.
The total water to be tracked is 1077.3120M3 (119.7 loads) in 45 days (6 weeks) duration. The Trucker will transport the water from the nearest Clean and safe to drink water source and pour in to 20m3 communal water Tank in the site. The frequency of water transport to the village depends on the consumption of the community. Roughly the trucker will transport water to the site 1 time in every three days and complete the specified amount of water per village in the assigned 6 weeks .
Note: all the corresponding documents for the water trucking bid for the three respective villages are uploaded to our E-tender system and can be downloaded from there. Also, the required criteria for the bid have been explicitly shown in the bid dossiers. The bidders must fulfill the minimum tender criteria as outlined in the tender documents and failure to do this will be subject to automatic disqualification.
Special attention
Quantities and contents of the listed assortment is subject to no alteration. Welthungerhilfe
reserves the right to divide the orders into lots and to award the lots into different suppliers.
However, Welthugerhilfe prefers to place the order with one suppler only. All the relevant information are indicated in the bid documents. Furthermore, all bidders are also required to meet the minimum tender requirements as shown in the bid dossiers. Welthungerhilfe will strictly check the these criterium and most notably the supplier who fits the bid requirements will be deemed as a winner.
