Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has been present in Somalia since early 2004 and has since expanded its Horn of Africa Program to Kenya in 2006 and to Ethiopia in 2011. Since 2004, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has demonstrated a regional competence and expertise in working with displaced populations. NRC has mainly focused on Somalis who are displaced by the ongoing conflict and more recently by the drought and famine.
Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Somalia wishes to invite all interested and potential suppliers to submit their offer regarding the below mentioned works;
PIPELINE EXTENSION, CONSTRUCTION OF 50CUM ELEVATED TANK, WATER POINTS WITH FENCING, OPERATOR ROOM WITH STORE AND PROVISION OF 65KVA GENERATOR IN BAIDOA DISTRICT, BAY REGION, SOMALIA.
Consideration will be made of the following aspects of the contractor’s competence:
- Bank account with minimum $50,000 with a proof of statement from 1st June 2021- to 30th November 2021.
- Must have relevant construction experience of 2 years in similar Field-Please attach stamped previous LPOs and contracts as evidence.
- Possession of a valid from the Ministry of Public works licenses of Southwest State.
- Possession of a valid from the Ministry of mineral, energy and water fromSouthwest State.
- Valid municipality license from Baidoa Administration.
- Possess registration from SWS-ministry of energy and water resources.
- Valid registration from Bay regional Administration.
- Updated company profile with the following information;
- Similar work experience conducted, amount in USD, location and by which organization.
- Company main office/ branch offices address, contacts/emails
- Company organogram
- List of equipment- assets, trucks, (at least 3 flatbed) forklift, basic hand tools and CVs of core staff including engineers and foremen to execute the work.
- Duly completed bill of quantity with company stamp
- Proposed work schedule (work plan)
This tender is valid from 23th Dec 20021 to 5thJan 2022 @ 4:30pm and interested bidders can access to collect tender documents NRC Office in Baidoa, SOMALIA and return in the same office.
Closing date for submitting the tender ison or before 16:20 hrs Wednesday 5thJanuary 2022Local East Africa. All bids submitted after that date will be rejected.

Note that all bidders are required to sign a bid submission register upon submission. The register can only be signed by the company representative.
