BACKGROUND:

Horn of Africa Voluntary Youth Committee (HAVOYOCO) is a regional Non -governmental

Organization (NGO) operating in Somaliland and Ethiopia. HAVAYOCO was founded in 1992 and since its inception it has successfully implemented different development projects in Somaliland and Ethiopia. HAVAYOCO was initially set up with the aim of being a volunteer and learning institution and to address the needs of poor communities and marginalized groups in Somaliland.

HAVOYOCO mission is to empower vulnerable communities in the Horn of Africa through motivation and capacity building so they can improve their standard of living.

The Service needed

In 2019, HAVOYOCO is implementing improved livelihood and water management Development project in Somaliland funded by European Union (EU), Community Resilience in Somaliland and Puntland (CRISP) through Norwegian Development fund and targeting Duruqsi, Wado-makahil, Laaye and Gogeysa Communities.

The project will improve water retention, seed, and food and livelihood in Somaliland. The project will build resilience of target communities through improved access to quality seeds, improved soil and water management, increased awareness of farmers’ rights, increased capacity of the sustainable use and management of water resources and food agriculture among community members and government officials/institutions, and promotion of water management. To achieve project objectives, HAVOYOCO is planning to rehabilitate Subsurface sand excavation Dam at Gogeysa community, to maximize its water facilities.

Therefore, HAVOYOCO is inviting Somaliland registered contractors to participate these flowing New Subsurface Dam rehabilitations at Gogeysa Community under Gabiley District.

Terms and Conditions

1. A copy of license/certificate from the ministry of public works, housing and transport valid up to December 31^st 2021 or later.
2. Updated Bank statement.
3. Must have relevant experience of 3 years in similar field. Please attach evidence like certificates, recommendations etc.
4. Work plan –clearly showing the construction timeframe.
5. Updated company profile indicating full address, organogram, contact persons, key personnel, their qualification, experience and list of machineries.

Interested companies are advised to collect a complete set of bid documents and instructions at from HAVOYOCO’s HQ Office at Badda Cas, Hargeisa or HAVOYOCO Burco office between 8:00am to 3:30pm (Sunday to Thursday). Sealed bid documents MUST be returned to HAVOYOCO HQ Office or HAVOYOCO Burco Office in a sealed envelope clearly stating the company name and its contact address not later than 04^th January 2022.
