Position: LIVELIHOOD PROJECT OFFICER.

Duration: FIVE MONTHS

Location: GARBAHAREY

Himilo organization for development (HOD) is non-profit making, non-sectarian, humanitarian relief and development organization that was established and registered in 2003 as a local non-governmental organization (LNGO) in Somalia.

HOD has been operating in Somalia since 2003. Its top priority is to create an environment that is conductive to sustainable development by helping communities to secure peace, sustainable development and attain self-reliance.

Above all, the organization has operated quite freely in Somalia with full cooperation of the local authorities – political, traditional and religious elders and women groups. The association’s operation cuts through the faulty and dividing lines of sub-clans and we are seen to be impartial and above all concerned with project implementation activities only

HOD is looking for dedicated, self-oriented and proactive monitoring and evaluation officers to join our dynamic teams in Cabudwak and Taleex.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor cash transfer activities
• Supporting and working with the program manager
• Attend cluster meeting regular and provide project updates
• Maintain project documents
• Assess and mitigate project risks and manage schedule and deadlines for reports and potential delays
• Ensure and promote the principle of accountability to affected population and inclusion of people with disability
• Document project success stories and lessons learnt
• lead post distribution exercise
• Report project activities to the program manager

QUALIFICATION/ SKILLS REQUIRED

• Completion of university degree in project planning and management, development studies or any other related and relevant discipline
• Master degree is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in monitoring and evaluation of projects preferably livelihood/ cash transfer programs
• Good report writing skills and interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Excellent Oral and written communication
