Logistic Officer Job Description 

• Coordinate procurement, distribution, and storage of humanitarian aid and
• Manage inventory levels for efficient resource allocation and
• Transportation Coordination: Arrange and track shipments of aid supplies to project locations, ensuring timely
• Oversee inventory management and storage facilities, ensuring safety and
• Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of aid
• Minimize expenses related to logistics operations while maximizing the impact of aid
• Maintain accurate records of aid shipments, inventory, and distribution Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Address logistical challenges such as transportation delays, customs issues, or supply shortages, and implement solutions to overcome
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including those related to humanitarian aid and
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and local authorities to coordinate logistics activities and address operational issues effectively.

Experience:

• Previous experience in logistics management within the humanitarian or nonprofit
• Familiarity with humanitarian aid procurement processes and donor
• Proficiency in logistics software and tools for inventory management and
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, particularly in cross-cultural
