Marketing& Sales Manager

Bluecom is an ISP Company affiliated with Dahabshiil Group and is its Sole distributor of DARE-1 Submarine Cable. Bluecom is committed to providing its esteemed customers with high capacity; high speed fibre optic based reliable and affordable Internet offering complete solutions with limitless potential. The company has a vacancy for an experienced Marketing and Sales Manager who will be responsible for the successful operation of the Marketing and Sales function of the ISP. The Marketing & Sales Manager will generate new business, while developing and executing marketing plans to make it the most valued and the most preferred internet service brand for maximum sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop deep understanding of company’s business, brand, products, and operations.

Perform detailed market analyses to understand positioning of company in the competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion into new products / channels / clients / geographies

Develop deep understanding of company’s strategic and value creation plans; actively contribute to the development and modification of these strategic plans especially for marketing

Contribute to the development of a strategic marketing plan, aligned with company’s long-term objectives, together with associated work plans to deliver the plan on agreed timeframes

Establish an appropriate sales organisation to effectively carry out the strategic sales plan. Develop deep understanding of company’s strategic and value creation plans, especially in relation to sales initiatives.

Develop a strategic sales plan for the internet products and services etc. that is aligned with company’s long-term objectives, and together with associated work plans to deliver the plan on agreed timeframes.

Identifying new market opportunities, determining the optimal pricing to balance profit with customer/client satisfaction, and directing marketing operations.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Higher degree in  Business, Marketing/or relevant management qualification

The ideal candidate will have experience is sales and/or marketing, and project management

5+ years in a senior leadership role within marketing or sales, preferably in the/Telecoms / ISP sector.

Excellent command of both oral and written English.

Demonstrated knowledge of the Somalia market and business environment.
