Africa for Rural Development (ARD) is a national NGO, was founded in June 2013 in Mogadishu, Banadir region and working in different area such as Galmudug state, Banadir and Southwest State, ARD works in Somalia as a humanitarian and development organization.

The purpose is to provide sustainable livelihoods intervention opportunities to support the most vulnerable communities both in the urban and rural areas of South-Central Somalia consequently will have access to improve livelihood situation, better education, adequate primary health care, and employment opportunities, respect the ideals of human rights, peace, good-governance and eventually improved sustainable community development.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
• Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies, and advising interventions.
• Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians work flow, verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Contributes team effort by accomplishing related results as needed,
• Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection control protocol.
• Maintain drug registers and drug consumption with in the Pharmacist.
• Ensure all the medicine are usable before he submitted to the patient.
• Diploma/Bachelor Degree of Pharmacology from Recognized institution.
• At least three years’ experience working in a busy Pharmacy unit.
• Previous experience of working with MCH.
