Role Dimensions: Save the Children operates across all zones in Somalia and currently has three main area offices and additional 11 field offices. Programmatically Somalia is a large Country Office with more than $110million annual budget and staff over 650 staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:

To support the delivery of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) strategy, policy, and practice by helping design programme monitoring systems, support the MEAL staff in their analysis and dissemination of CRM data, and coordinate CRM information management and reporting systems. The incumbents will spend most of their time monitoring active projects in Jubaland projects and support the MEAL Coordinator and officer in hiring and supervising enumerators, He/She will be responsibilities for routine quality benchmark monitoring, proactive calls, the post holder will also manage and follow up enumerator payments, He/She will also manage taps/smart phones for data collection.Your support in the delivery of an effective Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning function will play a key role in the expansion and improvement of the quality of Save the Children programmes in Somalia to increase impact and enable positive change for children.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Minimum One year of practical experience in M&E system coordination/implementation in an international non-governmental organization or other international relief/development
  • University degree in social sciences, economy, statistics, social work, social administration, development studies, information technology or other relevant academic discipline
  • terms and/or accountability mechanisms in both humanitarian and developmental responses
  • Demonstrable track-record in data tracking, with the ability to support staff and partners on M&E methodology and analyse and disseminate information to a range of stakeholder audiences.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of other data analysis software such STATA, SPSS, etc, will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and reporting skills, with the ability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks, and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English, with experience working in multicultural, multi-location, values driven teams.
  • Willingness to work and travel in often difficult and insecure environments.
