General responsibilities:
 The position requires good interpersonal skills and ability to adapt, meet, interact and relate with people at all levels. He/she must be highly self-motivated, and be able to endure conditions and extended periods of time away from camp or office. Clear understanding of the NPA Operations SOP is a must.

 Non-Technical Survey, IA and EORE surveyor is responsible for collection and recording of data required by management to make operational planning and decisions.

Non-Technical Survey:

·       Organise in advance dates and timings for meeting between NPA and local communities/government.

·       Within the guidelines provided by NPA, impart to beneficiary’s information that increases awareness of mine hazards to communities in or near the contaminated areas.

·       Keep the Operations Cell updated with ongoing events, on a daily basis.

·       If possible, provide dangerous area data for the further investigation.

·       Prior to the beginning of clearance activities, collect socio-economic impact data about the contaminated areas.

·       Report through digital reporting system “Survey 123”, connected to Impact assessment Level 2 Phase 1 – Community – Pre-clearance report,

·       Report through digital reporting system “Survey 123”, connected to Impact assessment Level 2 Phase 1 – Household Survey – Pre-clearance report,

·       Report through digital reporting system “Survey 123”, connected to Impact assessment Level 2 Phase 2 – Ongoing Impact Assessment,

·       Report through digital reporting system “Survey 123”, connected to Impact assessment Level 2 Phase 3 – Post-Clearance Impact Assessment

·       Collect where possible impact, beneficiaries’ statistics, mine victims; categorized by locations, within the minefield areas,

·       Create and cultivate good relationship with the National authorities and communities.

·       Maintain good communication with partner organizations.

·       Portray NPA professional image to all stake holders.

·       Function as data collector in targeted communities.

·       Create and plan monthly deployment in advance, submitted to Operations Officer/Ops cell.

·       Submit the monthly report for the previous month of deployment to Operations Officer/Ops cell.

·       Any other duties assigned by the NPA Operations Officer/TFM/Operations Manager.

Explosive Risk Education (EORE):

·       Organise in advance dates and timings for Explosive Risk Education (EORE) sessions in collaboration with NPA and SEMA.

·       Responsible for MRE materials and maintenance of a documented inventory.

·       Ensure efficient transportation of EORE personnel, equipment and materials.

·       Facilitate EORE workshops and meetings within specified places and times.

·       Understand and implement each donor’s definition of direct and indirect beneficiaries.

·       Within the guidelines provided by SEMA, impart to be inefficacies information that increases awareness of mine hazards to communities in or near the contaminated areas.

·       Achieve each donor’s requirement in terms of number of sessions and number of beneficiaries per session.

·       Capture and record all relevant information using “Survey 123”.

·       Timeously upload all validated digital information to the NPA SharePoint.

·       Keep the Operations Cell updated with ongoing events.

Required qualifications:
·       Be conversant with basic map reading.·       Computer literate with knowledge of the MS office.

·       Be able to use the VHF and UHF radios, and mobile phones

·       To know full hierarchy of the Governmental structure and its regulations, in addition to the clan structures.

·       Proven ability to keep required document

·       Relevant degree / diploma certificate

·       Fluent in written and spoken English and local language
