Job purpose

At Abaarso School, we are looking for a Registered Nurse that’s based in the main campus. The primary task is to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will also be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently.

Job duties and responsibilities

ü Monitor sick students condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.ü Observe and interpret student’s symptoms when they are ill and communicate them to Director of Student Life and Head of School.

ü Collaborate with DoSL and HoS to ensure best care for students.

ü Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and keep records of students’ health history.

ü Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments when within authority to do so.

ü Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.).

ü Provide instant medical care in emergency situations; assist and provide medical expertise when student needs to be taken to the hospital.

Position Requirements

University education or an equivalent of qualifying experience	X
Having a certificate anything medical related and nursing license			X

At least 3 years working experience in Health Centre’s	X
