The Role

The Nutrition Program Manager will be responsible for successful implementation of nutrition project in the designated districts through collaboration with the other actors. He/she will provide supervision and direction of DEH Nutrition operations, facilitating good practice and ensuring compliance to applicable implementation process of Nutrition interventions – in particular as they relate to DEH mandate, Ministry of health guidelines and the country priorities including planning, implementation and follow up.

Key Responsibilities

• The Nutrition Program Manager is responsible for overseeing implementation of the nutrition project as well as managing the project team such as staff recruitment, training, evaluation.
• Provision of continuous guidance and technical support.
• Ensures quality programmes and assessments are implemented at field level .
•  Monitoring of nutrition projects – field visit, regular program monitoring, budget forecast and follow up, statistics follow up report, etc.
• Monitoring the budget and targets achieved with reference to the project proposal, and making any necessary adjustments in consultation with the coordination teams.
• Ensure timely submission of all the reports in the field according to the stipulated deadlines.
• Represent DEH and participate in coordination meetings at field level with the staff, regional cluster and MoH.
• Coordinate with other DEH sectors like food security and livelihood, logistics, and administration.

Qualifications & Experience Required Education

•  Advanced university degree in public health or nutrition or related subject.
• A minimum of four years of experience in humanitarian nutrition programming.
• Skills in training and management.
• Good capacity to work in a team and flexibility.
• Good writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent inter-personal, communications and representative skill,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English required.
• Knowledge and adherence to Humanitarian Code of Conduct.
