Operations Manager – Job Specification

Samsung Somaliland ideal Operations Manager should be equipped with relevant operations qualification and financial background. . Moreover, responsibilities such as formulating plans, managing operations on a daily basis, and planning on proper usage of equipment and human resources are part of the Operation Manager’s job including liable for executing sales work which includes assisting customers in a friendlier manner, restocking equipment, or doing inventory reports.

Operations Manager should withstand pressures, demonstrate advanced operational competency, excellent managerial skills and meet appointed deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications

Education Qualification and Training Requirement:

  • Bilingual, well-spoken and writing skills (Somali – English), Arabic is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Operations background (extra degrees or training programs are a plus)
  • Team managing and processes set-up experience is required

Expectation:

  • Experienced Operations Manager who can oversee projects and set budgets.

Work-based Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics:

  1. Monitoring and keep track of supplier’s record in order to ensure that they are providing the required goods and services in an effective and efficient manner.
  2. Promote efficiency and increase profitability of company’s operations
  3. View and develop current operations processes and procedures
  4. Improve business functionality to align with the main objectives and perform routine administrative tasks
  5. Plan and oversee projects and contribute to products & systems innovation
  6. Track operational costs and implement improved operational procedures
  7. Analyze and maintain operational data and monitor product inventory
  8. Time management, patience, punctuality, good teamwork and interpersonal skills
  9. Most importantly ensure positive client, supplier, and vendor relationship
