| 8. Specific duties & responsibilities | Job Responsibilities
Registration: § Admit the patients according to admission criteria § Register the patient in the register-attendance book (with Registrar) § To fill the individual treatment card of the patient with the administrative and measurements information § Identify absentees and defaulters and inform community outreach workers for follow up Medical care: § Assess and monitor the health status of each patient and refer severe cases to OTP or TSFP § Administer drugs to the patients according to the protocol § Assess the patient’s progress at each OTP and TSFP session according to IMAM protocols
Nutritional care: § Conduct appetite tests for all the OTP patient § Prescribe and adopt the proper quantity of Plumpysup or Plumpynut according to IMAM protocols § Calculate the W/H percentage and record it on the individual monitoring card (if needed) § Give nutrition advice to care, including IYCF practices § Discharge or refer patients from OTP according to IMAM protocols to TSFP \ or SC § Assess weight gain (or loss) weekly and advise the carer appropriately Personnel management: § Responsible for the operation of OTP or TSFP § Responsible for ordering and monitoring RUSF or RUTF and systematic medical treatment at the site. § Organize the daily work activities in collaboration with the mobile team § Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports on a timely basis § Participate and conduct on the job training for the mobile team members § Maintain good communication and liaison with other staff, departments and the general beneficiaries. § perform any additional duties or instruction given by the supervisor |

| 9. Essential skills: | § Good understanding and trained in the integrated management of acute malnutrition management and protocol
§ Ability to interpret basic nutrition indicators § Ability to read and write in Somali & English § Ability to write reports and compile nutrition data § Possess good supervisory skills and a team player § Understands/can perform simple mathematics (addition / subtraction / multiplication / division
