Since January 2019, MSF is supporting the National Tuberculosis Program in Somaliland and started to work in Hargeisa TB Hospital, specifically in the Drug Resistance Tuberculosis centre and supporting 3 Regional Hospitals in Tuberculosis.

The aim is to reduce the morbidity, mortality and burden of TB and more specifically MDR-TB with below objectives:

o To improve the quality of DR-TB diagnosis in MSF supported facilities (Hargeisa DR-TB hospital and Regional TB centres (Borama, Berbera and Burco)

o To improve Infection Prevention and Control in Hargeisa TB hospital and the Regional TB centres supported by MSF (Borama, Berbera and Burco)

o To improve MDR-TB patient care and treatment Outcomes of Hargeisa MDR-TB centre cohort

o To increase DR-TB case finding using different models to increase access to TB screening and diagnosis

For DR-TB project in Somaliland, MSF is looking for:

Pharmacy Storekeeper

Workplace : Hargeisa

Type of contract : Open Ended Contract

Start date : 18 July 2021

Main purpose of the position

Execute the Pharmacy/Medical warehouse storing activities in order to keep pharmacy stock above security level and following recommended conditions (temperature, humidity, etc) under the supervision of the Medical Coordinator Support and in collaboration with the Logistic team

Main responsibilities

Supervising material orders and dispatching in order to ensure rational use
Receiving orders and deliveries, identifying potential disparities against cargo manifest or others and reporting them and store materials in accordance with the system in force, in order to ensure continuous availability. It includes:
- Ensuring good storage conditions of all medical items in the pharmacy store in accordance with pharmaceutical standards in order to ensure continuous availability
- Ensuring correct fill in entries on the stock cards and software
- Carrying out or participating in regular inventories including Emergency Preparedness (EPREP) stock
- Following up stock levels with regards to alarm thresholds, stock out, expiry dates and drugs to expire in the following 6 months. Preparing report and share it with Medical Coordinator Support
Preparing orders of the different consumption units (departments, wards, others), ensuring proper packaging, labelling, dispatching and reporting any anomalies or changes in consumption patterns to Medical Coordinator Support
Controlling medical warehouse in order to ensure materials are kept in good conditions, it includes e.g.

Monitoring temperature in the warehouse and ensuring that products requiring cold chain are suitably stored and transports received, appropriately prepared and transported according to MSF Supply and Cold Chain protocols

Ensuring cleanliness (pharmacy stock) and in close collaboration with the Logistic department, maintaining refrigerating equipment
Controlling warehouse limited access to authorized personnel
Participating in inventory count

Requirements

Education	Essential, Secondary school. Desirable, medical related studies
Experience	• Essential previous experience of at least 2 years in similar or relevant positions • Desirable previous experience in MSF
Languages	English and Somali essential
Knowledge	Essential Computer literacy (Word, Excel)
