Eligibility criteria: Minimum age: 22 years old. Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.
Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of MPTF Senior Trust Fund Manager or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer Portfolio Associate will:

  • Draft routine correspondence, reports and other documents
  • Researche and compile background materials for reports, briefings, etc.
  • Provide assistance to monitor and measure project progress and prepare project reports
  • Perform financial recovery functions for the project including financial agreements and report preparations
  • Provides administrative support services
  • Maintains and update the project information management system and reporting tools
  • Provide logistical support activities organised by the secretariat, including meetings, missions, and other official undertakings
  • Assists in coordination, production, and dissemination of communication materials
  • Perform other duties as required

Required degree level
Bachelor degree or equivalent
Educational additional comments

A bachelor degree in either of the following areas e.g. political science, international relations, communication, development studies, or business administration or related area

Experience remark

​At least 5 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in administration, communication, development, or other relevant programmes; experience with fund management for an international organisation is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization;

  • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;
  • Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
  • Sound security awareness;
  • Have affinity with or interest in the Sustainable Development Goals and volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.
