Job Title: Primary school Teachers

Job Status: Permanent/ Full Time

Location: East Masallaha, Airport Road, Hrageisa Somaliland.

We are looking for the following teachers to start in August 2022

1. Quran / Islamic study Teacher
2. Social /Somali Teacher
3. KG Teacher

Duties and responsibilities

As a Teacher you will:

• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives;
• Establish relationship with pupils, organize their learning resources and the classroom learning environment.
• Develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, per age, ability and aptitude.
• Assess and record progress and prepare pupils for the Standard Assessment Tasks (SATs).
• Link pupils’ knowledge to earlier learning and develop ways to encourage it further.
• Inspire pupils and help them deepen their knowledge and understanding.
• Organize workshops/seminars for the other teacher and assistant teachers.
• Establish and enforce rules for behaviour, and procedures for maintaining order.
• Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
• Observe and evaluate children’s performance, behaviour, social development, and physical health.
• Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
• Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to children.
• Arrange indoor and outdoor space to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities, and safety.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
• Prepare reports on students and activities as required by administration.
• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
• Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and Teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
• Supervise, evaluate, and plan assignments for Teacher assistants and volunteers.
• Collaborate with other Teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of preschool programs and facilitating training activities.
• Attend staff meetings, and serve on committees as required.
• Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students’ needs and progress.
• Perform administrative duties such as hall and cafeteria monitoring, and bus loading and unloading.
• Administer tests to help determine children’s developmental levels, needs, and potential.
• Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
