POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Officer will oversee one of SIF’s projects which comprises cash transfer activities in Kismayo. The PO will ensure technical oversight of assessments, sensitisation and involvement of beneficiaries, implementation and monitoring of project activities, capacity strengthening of project staff and stakeholders. The PO will oversee the whole project in close collaboration with the rest of project staff, the support departments and under the direct supervision of the Program Manager.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSABILITIES

1. Conduct community mobilisation and sensitization meetings with relevant partners and community-level leaders to introduce the project and involve the community in project design;
2. Support the development of assessment tools and lead the different research actions, and provide analysis and interpretation of the findings and translate into the project interventin design;
3. Coordinate and network with local goverment departments responsible for cash transfers and other NGOs in the same area of intervention;
4. Lead the implementation of all cash transfer related activities and provide technical support and input;
5. Liaise with other project teams and staff to ensure that all the project interventions are well-coordinated and prioritized;
6. Support the Program Manager in reviewing of work plans and to complete necessary project narrative reports;
7. Ensure systematic and timely collection of agreed project data (according to the project logical framework and MEAL plan) and its accurate analysis
8. Draft all project narrative reports;
9. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness and impact of activities and make recommendations for improvements in collaboration with the MEAL team;
10. Report to the line manager on successes and drawbacks of the project.
