Project Officer -Cash & Food Assistance

The Role:

The Project Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of Cash and voucher project activities; ensuring cash/voucher distributions, documentation, and proper commodities management. The position holder will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of crises, emergencies, and relief interventions in the target district. S/he will play a key role in supporting beneficiary selection, manual and biometric registrations, project-related data collection, reporting, and success stories. S/he will also be responsible for community meetings and other engagements with the local authorities and the related project line ministry.

Key Responsibilities:

· Beneficiary targeting, selection, and registration

· Project monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting

· Commodity, Cash, and NFI’s management

· Stakeholders engagement

· Capacity Building

Skills and Qualifications

· Degree in Community Development/ Economics/ Agriculture/ Soil and Water Engineering/ Environmental Management/Natural Resources Management or related field.

· 4 years’ experience in disaster risk management, rural development, emergency responses, commodity/cash programming and or related field.

· Good communicator and mobilizer.

· Good understanding of World Vision and sphere standards.

· Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct.

· Speaks and understands the local language.

· Ability to engage with local communities, partners, and government authorities

The position is field based in Eyl
