Project Officer – Galkacayo, Somalia

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

With the support, guidance and advice of the TAG Foundation Executive Director, the TAG Foundation PROJECT Officer will fulfill the following responsibilities:

Ø  Prepare project work plans and share them with TAGF’s Executive Director and Save the Children’s project focal persons for review and input.

Ø  Implement project activities in the target areas

Ø  Attend relevant cluster meetings on behalf of TAGF and share updates with the management

Ø  Work closely with relevant project stakeholders in the area for the successful implementation of the project

Ø  Identify, train and mentor community-level facilitators

Ø  Provide support to community facilitators conducting community sessions

Ø  Prepare weekly project costs and share them with the Executive Director for review and approval

Ø  Facilitate project monitoring visits as directed by the Executive Director

Ø  Attend project field-level assessments at all the times needed

Ø  Fulfil any other assigned by the Executive Director

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university in Social Science, Business Administration, or related fields,

Experience:

Minimum 4 years of professional work experience in Gender Equality, Protection, Community Development and Humanitarians with well-known institutions.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications,
• Excellent spoken and written English languages; and local language (Somali) is Mandatory
