SCOPE OF ROLE:

Background
Somali Children Welfare and Rights Watch is a local humanitarian, non- political, non-profit and non-governmental independent organization, which is dedicated to Promote Somali Children. SCWRW not only advocates all important child rights that have not been obtained by the children during the over decade civil conflicts and the existence of the former regime, but also expresses its role of restoration the normal life of the children in particular the distressed and disadvantage ones in the collaboration stakeholders. Due to our long operational history, we have established positive working relationships with key stakeholders, including national government, local authorities, donors, international and local NGOs, as well as the trust and acceptance of the communities themselves.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Conduct a mapping of the Somalia national PSEA infrastructure which will include: o An analysis of the risks of abuse, exploitation, harassment and other forms of
harm, facing children and mother vulnerable especially from vulnerable groups, both in public and private life.
o Legal and judicial norms, framework and response to the issues mentioned above o Difference between law and practice
Police and law enforcement practices
Identification of statutory agencies with roles, responsibilities and resources
Identification of community-based and civil society assets, services and resources
Conduct face to face and online trainings for SCWRW Staff on PSEA (using available PSEA Toolkit training package). This will also include:
Other available products and translations and adaptions to suit local contexts and languages may be needed and used.
Develop compendium of FAQ from trainings and share with responses and links
to relevant reference materials.
Complete a report of each training event, including List of Participants with relevant details of their organization, position and contact details.
Education Requirement
Education Degree: University degree in Social Studies, Project Management or any other related discipline
Work experience: Minimum 3 years experiences in the field protection and Humanitarian with practice of PSEA.
Knowledge & skills: Excellent analytical and writing skills, competent in participatory assessments, database design and other tools for information management.
Language Skills: Fluent in English Language and Somali Language especially Mai dialect.
Computer skills: Excellent knowledge of the MS office software, excellent competencies in MS Excel.
