Job Description

Position: Qualified Nurse –

Location: Galkacayo

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Restores and promotes patient’s health by completing the nursing process everyday
2. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members with good work ethics.
3. Provides physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families routinely.
4. Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and their families.
5. You will establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
6. You will assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and hospital or regulatory standards.
7. You will resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
8. You maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
9. You will protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; medication administration and storage procedures; and controlled substance regulations.
10. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records every day.
11. You will maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
12. You will maintain patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
13. You will ensure function of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
14. You will maintain nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level every day.
15. You will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
16. You will maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
17. You will contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed always.

Physical Demands

1. Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds of work force.
2. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds of patient weight.
3. Ability to stand for extended periods
4. Fine motor skills
5. Visual acuity
