Job description

Overview of positionWe are looking for a Ramp Security Officer to join our team and ensure that aircraft run on time by providing various under-wing activities, such as overseeing record keeping, moving baggage and building aircraft between gates.

Role objectives

• Security Restricted Areas Access Control (verification of personnel and vehicles access permits)
• Supervision of personnel (passengers and non-passengers) and vehicles movement within the airside
• Coordination with the aircrews the aircraft security measures during day stops and overnight parking.
• Coordination with ATMIS and UNDSS the installation and operation of CCTV Cameras within Security Restricted Areas
• Assistance with any types of investigations in case of AVSEC related incidents /accidents.

Key competencies

• High school diploma, preferred.
• Previous experience working in an aviation environment, desired.
• Successful completion of a ramp services training program.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques when handling heavy objects.
• Experience working with live animals and dangerous goods.
• Working knowledge of airport safety procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Great physical fitness and strength.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to endure tough working conditions.
