Position Title: Researchers and Consultants

Horn Partners seeks to recruit qualified prospective researchers and consultants to join our highly experienced researchers and consultants. Prospective researchers and consultants will work along with our multi-disciplinary teams to undertake different research and development projects. Essential Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Competencies

1. An advanced university degree (Master’s or Doctorate degree, or equivalent) in economics, international development, leadership, political and social science, public administration, engineering, statistics, health and education;
2. At least 7 years of relevant experience in socio‐economic research design and analysis of economic and educational statistics;
3. Experience in database management and statistical analysis;
4. Proven excellence in production of analytical work, both written reports and brief presentations of research;
5. Knowledge of the relevant software: SPSS or STATA or any statistical software is a must;
6. Experience working with governments, private sector, civil society and rural communities in Somalia;
7. Experience in leading international research projects;
8. Experience in working in complex institutional environments;
9. Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability;
10. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to meet deadlines;
11. Fluency in English is required. Other working knowledge of French and Arabic languages are advantage.

Purpose and scope of work:

Horn Partners is inviting qualified consultants and researchers to be part of an experienced and dynamic team. The recruited consultant would be required to develop high quality proposals, inception reports, plan and coordinate field work as well as write study reports ensuring highest research standards are met and maintained in all the facts of the study. They will contact and engage important contacts including research/study beneficiaries, participants and government counterparts as necessary.

Selection process:
