RESTORING FAMILY LINKS PROGRAMME (RFL) DATA ANALYST

Job Grade: Band 5

Department: Restoring Family Links Department

Location: Mogadishu

Reports To: Restoring Family Links (RFL) Programme Coordinator

Direct Reports: N/A

Overall Job Purpose

Provide support in the compilation of RFL caseload by entering, updating and verifying the accuracy and

Confidentiality of data and related information entered into the RFL database. Other duties include, resolving processing problems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the database

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

Data Entry Operations

  • Collect prepare, compile and sort all the necessary data to be entered and updated in the system
  • Check source documents and verify data entered to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Identify and check for any ambiguity, discrepancies, duplication or gaps in the collected data
  • Track missing data to update database and maintain integrity of data originally collected case files
  • Combine and rearrange data from source documents where required
  • Enter data from source documents into prescribed files, forms and database
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in order to accurately retrieve data
  • Compile statistics and provide regular feedback on caseload, trends for the purpose of periodic RFL analysis, reports and possible public or internal communication with the Movement.
  • Update follow up cases from branches to NS.
  • BBC registration of all the branches offices and shared it with the Nairobi delegation.
  • Updating internal cases into the FLA DB from the branches RFL offices and sending them to Nairobi.
  • Closure cases into the FLA DB and shared it with NS and branches RFL offices.
  • Prepare trace the face cases from branches and share it with Programme Manager

Operational Support

  • Liaise with the relevant staff at the ICRC and Branch level to update and maintain accurate database
  • Maintain proper inventory records of computer software and equipment in compliance with policies
  • Provide assistance to ICT staff to resolve computer and software problems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor or equivalent professional practice in ICT

Professional Training   Database Administration

Certification/Licensing N/A

Language Requirement: Relevant Experience

Demonstrate proficiency in Somali and English languages : Minimum 2 years relevant experience in data entry operations with a humanitarian or development organization
