Responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of screening, admissions and nutritional assessment of patients.

| 8. Specific duties & responsibilities | Job Responsibilities
Admissions: § Conduct anthropometric measurements for children below five years and pregnant and lactating mothers § Accurately take anthropometric measurements; MUAC, weight (and height if requested) § Check for bilateral pitting oedema § Refer any very sick looking children to the OTP nurse immediately § To properly record all measurements on the individual monitoring card § Ensure sugar water is available for children waiting for registration § Explain the process of measurements and its importance to the patient/carer § Direct the patients/ carers appropriately to the registrar / OTP /TSFP as appropriate § Treat all beneficiaries with empathy, courtesy and respect at all times. Other responsibility includes: § Assist other mobile team members as requested by the OTP or TSFP nurse § Responsible for the measuring equipment at all times. § On request, perform any additional duties or instruction given by the supervisor.

| 9. Essential skills: | § Experience working in a nutrition programme.
§ Ability to read and write in English is an advantage § Can perform simple mathematics (Addition / subtraction / multiplication / division) § Honest and a team player § Flexible, energetic, good communication and listening skills § Ability to do basic training/pass knowledge § Ability to read and write in Somali (English is an advantage) |
