Overview

Overview of positionWe are looking for a Security Screening Officer to join our team and ensure that aircraft run on time by providing various activities, such as overseeing record keeping, moving & screening baggage, etc.

Role objectives

• Vendor’s employment process inclusive of background check procedures
• Security sweep of terminal area before beginning of operations
• Testing of equipment
• Security check of person (male / female) with and without metal detectors
• Screening of baggage using x-Ray machines
• Hand check of baggage without use of x-Ray machine
• Handling of special categories of passengers
• Emergency procedure (contingency plan)
• Assignment and duties of mobile AVSEC team in remote locations

Project reportingTo the Project Manager

Key competencies

• High school diploma, preferred.
• Previous experience working in an aviation environment, desired.
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques when handling heavy objects.
• Experience working with live animals and dangerous goods.
• Working knowledge of airport safety procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Great physical fitness and strength.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to endure tough working conditions.
