The Intergovernmental Development Authority “IGAD” has received financing from the African Development Fund hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Drought Resilience and Sustainable Livelihoods Programme in the Horn of Africa -Project II (DRSLP II), Save the Children International as the Implementing Agency (IA) intends to apply part of the proceeds of the project toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Equipment for Regional Veterinary Laboratories in, Borama (Lot 1), Gebiley (Lot 2) and Las’anod (Lot 3) in Somaliland.

Save the Children International, Hargeisa Office now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply and Delivery of Equipment for Regional Veterinary Laboratories in, Borama (Lot 1), Gebiley (Lot 2) and Las’anod (Lot 3) in Somaliland.
Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (National), (OCBN) method as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework dated 1st January 2016 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Save the Children International, Hargeisa Office via email drslpii@savethechildren.org and inspect the Bidding document during office hours at the address given below.
The Bidding document in English may be obtained by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written request via email to drslpii@savethechildren.org quoting IFB No. DRSLPII/SL/G1/OCBN/001/2021 in the subject line. Interested bidders who require a printed hard copy of the Bidding document may obtain the document upon submission of a receipt showing payment of a non – refundable fee of USD 25 (USD Twenty-five) for reproduction and mailing costs. The method of payment will be direct payment to SCI Hargeisa office in Hargeisa town.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 05-Jan-2022 at 10:00 hrs. EAT. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Bidders are free to bid for one or more lots based on Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below on 05-Jan-2022 at 10:00 hrs. EAT.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of an unconditional bank guarantee enforceable in Hargeisa town using the format provided in the Bidding Documents or similar format acceptable to the employer and in the amount in US Dollars against each lot as shown in the table below:
