Store man

The Store person is responsible for the store(s) and for all HALO equipment held there in, assigned to them by the Logistics Officer in order to support The HALO Trust’s operational and administrative activities.

The responsibilities outlined below represent some of the key duties that any individual in this role is expected to fulfil. However, they are not restricted to these duties only and the Store Person may beexpected to attend to tasks that fall outside of this list dependent on the instruction of the line manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Control access to all storage containers and equipment within the HQ compound.

• Issue, receive and inspect of all equipment of the storeroom assigned to them by the Logistics Officer. 

• Recording all stock movements (entries and withdrawals) on store cards.

• Maintain the organisation, security and cleanliness of all storerooms and the equipment held there, assigned by the Logistics Officer.

• Support Logistics Officer (when necessary) to spend nights away from Hargeisa on resupply tasks at remote demining campsites.

• Support Logistics Officer with preparation of all equipment prior to operational deployment in support of the HALO teams.

• Support Logistics Officer in checking equipment handed in by the demining teams at the end of the work cycle, and to monitor that nothing has been lost or damaged.

• Support with a wide range of duties in support of operational teams, as requested by senior management staff.

• Train new support staff to assist with those duties outlined above when needed.

• Perform other duties assigned by the HALO logistics team
