Background
CARE Somalia, in coordination with the Ministries of Education, Federal Government of Somalia and the Federal Member States is implementing Accelerated Basic Education (ABE) across all the regional states. The ABE program is implemented through the FCDO-funded ‘Adolescent Girls’ Education in Somalia (AGES) project and the EAC funded Waxbar Caruurtaada II (Educate Your Children II) project.
The AGES project is an innovative project which aims to promote education access through tailored, sustainable solutions in order to develop literacy, numeracy, and key life skills for the most marginalized adolescent girls in Somalia. The project is in its fourth year of implementation and is implemented in Jubaland, Banaadir and South-West states of Somalia. The project’s aim is to improve access to education, learning outcomes and retention of 42,000 girls from some of the poorest, most vulnerable and conflict affected regions of Jubaland, Banaadir/Mogadishu and Southwest states of Somalia. Administration, and to improve the overall quality of education by building local capacity.
The EAC funded Waxbar Caruurtaada II (Educate your children) project aims to address obstacles to educational access for out of school children affected by instability, displacement, social exclusion, and poverty in Somalia. The project targets to enrol 57,600 out of school children from across six regions/ states (Galmudug, Hirshabelle, Jubaland, Southwest, Puntland and Banaadir) of Somalia. Waxbar Carurtaada II Project will strengthen local governance structures and community support around school safety and inclusive and gender-sensitive education, increasing enrolment rates among marginalized groups, including girls and the extremely poor. Through ABE, the project will provide viable options for learners unable to access education or to attend regularly because of seasonal and out-migration, domestic demands, and income-generating activities. The project will work closely with the FGS MoECHE, Federal member states MOEs across the six region/states and other education stakeholders to achieve its objective.
CARE is hereby inviting all interested eligible bidders with capacity to supply/deliver the newly approved ABE curriculum materials for level 1 and level II as below:

Other specific requirements:
- Valid trade license and company registration certificates
- Proof of tax clearance from the government.
- Proof of Similar supply experience such as from former contracts/purchase orders.
- Detail delivery and distribution time (Lead time)
- Updated company profile with your company contact details and physical address and all pertinent information,
