INTRODUCTION
Islamic Relief has been operational in Somalia since 2016. Since then our programme expanded and currently encompass WASH, Education, Health, Food security and Livelihoods and orphans sponsorship. We work in south central, Puntland and Somaliland
Islamic Relief Somalia Programme is implementing Food and Nutrition Livelihood for IDPs in Daynile (FNID) project in collaboration with local government and line ministries in Somalia ,to enhance the living standard of women and children through providing vocational skills development and business development grants. More than 50 women are receiving short terms business development trainings to help them become involved in income-generating activities, such as small business activities. IRS under its Food and Nutrition Livelihood for IDPs in Daynile (FNID) project is looking into training 50 women living in Daynile district, Banadir region. In this context, IRS would like to hire an experienced individual or organization to provide short term training on business development and financial literacy for 50 women.
Islamic relief Somalia is requesting for proposal (RFP) for the expression of interest detailing your technical and financial proposal with clear timeline and results –
a) Complete profile of company or detailed CV if an individual
Certificate of registration, tax compliance certificates and bank statement if company.
Relevant experiences and sample reports shared for work conducted as training consultancy.
Registration certificates from the relevant line ministries of the company or proof of nationality if individual consultant.)
Completed RFP showing the budget breakdown.
Work plan depicting training modalities.
OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The objective of this training is to equip IDP women with entrepreneurship skills that allow them to develop business ideas and start and manage businesses in their local areas.
On completion of the training, all participants will:
Be able to identify and develop different business ideas.
Be able to conduct assessment and select a feasible business idea.
Be able to develop a bankable business plan.
Receive grant to start and improve the business
Be able to address the most urgent need for business management
KEY ASSIGNMENTS
The trainer have to organize the training along with participants before conducting the training. The trainer will be at site of the training every morning and will facilitate the training independently based on the agreed terms of reference (ToR). The main duties and responsibilities are mentioned below
Design training sessions, using various entrepreneurship modules, in consultation with the project Officer and Area Manager.
Training module preparation
Necessary preparation for training (logistic, administrative and programmatic preparation) and planning for training
Community/Participant mobilization for organizing the training
Liaison with government ministries or line ministries and consultant firm (recruited by donor agency).
Training facilitation as per the training requirements
Settling the training bill vouchers with finance unit
Necessary documentation and filling of the training documents
Ensuring the visibility of the training
Training materials handover etc.
Reporting and training database management.
Report
Provide all training requirement of the participants (hall hire, meals & transport re-fund) hence the consultant MUST provide an all-inclusive budget.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
1. Entrepreneurship Training plan and modules are properly designed, documented, and delivered.
Training participants will develop a comprehensive business idea and understand business/ shops management.
Training participants will be able to utilize their financial literacy skills to start and run their business in a professional manner.
Budget
The budget for the training will include cost for the training provision, transport allowance for 3 sessions for 50 participants, venue rent, refreshment and lunch for the 50 participants.

The review of application will be done on a rolling basis and not tied to the end of the advert. IR application evaluation team have the right to STOP the process and contract qualified person/company once identified and selected before the set deadline.
The start date of the assignment shall be from 23/08/2021
