TERMS OF REFERRENCE FOR THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL INSURANCE SERVICES

Our strategy focuses on governance, health, building resilience and response to humanitarian crises.

PURPOSE

We seek to recruit an insurance company which can offer reliable and consistent medical insurance service for our staff based in Somaliland and Somalia. Our current staff are 16 members who are currently in Hargeisa but travel widely throughout regions in Somaliland/Somalia frequently.

Any Medical insurance company with the prerequisite permits to operate in the country and capability to offer quality and timely medical insurance services can apply. We are anticipating offering one year contract from early next year. Any insurance company which has capacity to offer the below mentioned criteria, capacity to offer medical insurance for our staff, duly registered in Somaliland; coupled with written detailed explanation of the medical services to provide and expected exclusions.

REQUIREMENT

• Certificate of registration from Somaliland/Somalia insurance regulators.
• Tax compliance certificate.
• List of current clients, preferably INGOs.
• Provide evidence that the company was operational in the last couple of years.
• Company’s financial audit report for the last couple of years.
• Copy of bank statement for the company’s operations for the last six months.
• Provide evidence of country and regional networks and coverage.
• Must provide detailed proposal of the services/categories to be offered and relevant financial expectations for the services that will be offered.
