Position – Warehouse Guard

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Warehouse Security Guard is accountable for keeping safety, security of the all the materials and commodities, warehouse and property as well as beauty and sanitation of the of the warehouse as per the standard SCI systems, policies, and procedures.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures that no property is taken out of the of the warehouse without the proper authorization
  • Ensure the safety of all working equipment’s issued to him/her for security and safety of the organization.
  • Check all property within the warehouse and ensures that everything is in good shape while taking over from the out-going guard.
  • Open and close the door of the warehouse when project/concerned parties needed to inter or check 
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse
  • Check all doors and windows within the warehouse to ensure that they are closed/and locked after working hours
  • Report to the Warehouse officer, cases of theft, defect of lights and doors in the warehouse.
  • Maintain a register for daily hand-over and events happening for documentation
  • Comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to child protection, health and safety, security, equal opportunities and other relevant policies.

UALIFICATION

EXPEREINCE

  • certificate in security guard management
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Good interpersonal skills,
  • Good spoken Somali
  • Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • Experience as military personnel
  • Knowledge of the context and in the duty station of the post is located
