Background The Independent Constitutional Review and Implementation Commission was established in accordance with Article 134(6) of the Provisional Constitution, Law no. 119 of 7/8/2013 and Presidential Decree No. 99 issued on 18/3/2023. The commission consists of 5 members of the Federal and one delegate from each Federal Member States and Somaliland.

To assist in implementing these goals, the commission leadership invites young graduates to apply for internship positions.

Scope of Work Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

The Young Graduate Interns will assist the Independent Constitutional Review and Implementation Commission (ICRIC). Activities will be both technical and administrative. As listed below.

Under the supervision of the Secretary-General, the young graduates will assist the commission in the implementation of project activities in the following areas:

• Administration and Finance;

• Public outreach, Media and Public relation;

• ICT (Information and Communication Technology);

• Covering plenary sessions (events planning, taking Minutes, and report writing); and 

• Legal Affairs. 

Qualification

• Must be a University graduate

• Proficiency in Somali and English

• Computer literate in standard software 

• Demonstrated the ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which includes a willingness to be understanding and tolerant of differing opinions and views.

Eligibility criteria

• Must be a Somali Citizen (Valid ID)

• Must be committed for the period ending September 30, 2024

• Must be a recent university graduate 

• Must provide a comprehensive CV with three contactable references

• Copy all academic qualifications 

• Must be eligible to work in Somalia
