1.0 BACKGROUND FOR THE TENDER:

SOS Children’s Villages is a non-governmental social development organization that has been active in the field of child care, children’s rights and committed to children’s needs. The core business of SOS Children’s Villages Somalia is Child care for children without parental care or at risk of losing parental care. The first children’s village in Somalia was opened in Mogadishu in 1985 to provide alternative family like care to children who have lost parental care. SOS Somalia has continuously expanded its programmes in the care for children and provided Medical Care, Education, Youth care, Employment & Employability and Emergency Programes in Somalia. SOS Somalia has provided care and support to the Vulnerable communities in Somalia continuously without break Since 1985 to date. SOS Somalia is currently active in the project locations of Banadir, Lower Shabelle, Middle Shabelle, Bay and Bakool regions of Somalia.

SOS Children’s Villages Somalia (SOS CVS) is requesting qualified and experienced Consultancy Firm/ Individual to respond to its call for TENDER for the Construction, Maintenance, Repair and Re-innovation Works of SOS Children’s Villages and SOS Mother and Child Hospital, Mogadishu – Somalia.

The Organization intends to implement the following activities:

  • Construction of Pediatric Clinic at the Mother and Child Hospital Compound
  • Maintenance and renovation works to the Mother and Child Hospital fence walls
  • Maintenance and renovation works to the Children’s village fence walls and re-innovation of the village.

Only Consultants having renewed and valid Certificate of Registration and TAX Clearance are allowed to tender. Submissions by tenderers without having the required Certificate of Registration and TAX Clearance will be rejected.

The bidders must comply with all the instructions, terms and conditions and ensure that all required tender forms,  enclosed in this call for tender, and other mandatory documents are properly filled in, completed and submitted.
