  • Scope of Work

The System Administrator is responsible for the stable operation of the ICT infrastructure, ensuring that data and communications between systems are available, reliable, and effectively support the bank’s business. The System Administrator will play a key integral role in maintaining the bank’s policies to ensure the integrity of its network and computer systems. The System Administrator will be a key member in a team responsible for monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving all IT-infrastructure-related issues.

Job Specification

System Administrator: (Job Reference No SSB/SA/002/22)

The system Administrator is responsible for the stable operation of the ICT infrastructure, ensuring that data and communications between systems are available, reliable, and effectively support the bank’s business. The System Administrator will be a key member of a team responsible for monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving all IT-infrastructure-related issues.

Requirements for the System Administrator include the following:

  • Over 3 years of working experience in Servers, Data Centers, and clouds.
  • Being an expert in Linux, Linux networking, Windows server, AD
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills

Degree: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer System and applications

Professional Certificates: CompTIA A+, Linux+, Server+, VMware Certified Professional, or Red Hat Certified Engineer

  • Principal Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the FINTECH Manager to ensure smooth operation of all bank, department and management strategy matters
  • Demonstrate using working experience in Servers, Data Centers, clouds 
  • Demonstrate put on experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
  • Ability to create scripts in Python or other languages
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Producing clean, efficient code based on specifications
  • Testing and deploying programs and systems
  • Fixing and improving existing software
  • Work with FINTECH developers about the bank system designs needs
  • Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
  • Integrate software components and third-party programs
  • Verify and deploy programs and systems
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
  • Improve Internal Bank systems i.e. system that gather and evaluate user/customer feedbacks
  • Recommend and execute improvements
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, performance standards and specifications
  • Communicate with FINTECH on a regular basis to ensure that agreed Departmental plans are implemented in accordance with the Bank’s Objectives and strategy.
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, and personnel’s performance) and report regularly to the FINTECH Manager
  • Follow up on the implementation of assigned tasks and achievement of set goals. 
  • Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role 

 

  • Period of Performance

The role of the System Administrator Contract will be for approximately 1 year on a full-time basis. His/her contract is eligible for possible extension.

  • Qualification
