1. BACKGROUND
QRC Somalia is leading international NGO on the use of proven interventions to development and poverty reduction. QRC has distinctive competence in livelihoods to increase the impact of appropriate programmes on people livelihoods. These include a wide range of sectors that it has excellence in key sectors or ‘priority areas’, namely: Health, Livelihoods and food security, WASH, Protection, Capacity building.
Areas of WASH project are overcrowded by victims of droughts affected people whom are scattered in projects locations where many IDPs camps situated.
WASH project consists of various regions of which each region has hosted an average number of IDPs and vulnerable groups such as children, women and elders those who left and escaped from the wars in these regions.
Objectives and Scope.
The main objective of assignment is to improve the access to safe and adequate water supply services in Somalia. QRC identified priority locations which have frequently been hit by drought and water scarcity. Hydrogeological and geophysical surveys will be conducted in these locations to assess the groundwater potentiality and identify feasible sites for drilling. Approximately 25,000 people in the target locations will benefit from this project.
The project is divided in to 6 lots considering the geographical distribution of the work. Each lot has two components (Drilling Deep and Modified and Construction) interconnected and the works to be carried out in each location to achieve the desired objectives of the intervention are as follow:

Summary of the minimum requirements for QRCs Projects: Contractor must be registered with both the federal government of Somalia and the government (s) of the state (s) where the work is being implemented and must have valid tax registration and clearance certificate from the relevant authorities/ institutions mentionable the ministry of interior affairs and the district administrations. Supplier eligibility QRCS invites suppliers/bidders capable of providing, works and services as per section 2 above, to submit their expression of interest. In order to be considered as an eligible supplier, interested parties must submit their Expression of Interest including the following information: Technical capacity: to be eligible, the supplier must have qualified engineers of especially holding B.S in civil engineering with attached CVs and degree certificates Key equipment: As a minimum, bidders are required to support the project with adequate quantities of support equipment.
